Delek US, Delek Logistics name new CEO, COO
Delek US Holdings Inc. set a leadership succession plan and a series of additional leadership appointments.
The company has appointed Avigal Soreq, currently chief executive officer of El Al Airlines, as president and chief executive officer of Delek US, and president of Delek Logistics, effective in June. Ezra Uzi Yemin, current chairman and chief executive officer of Delek US and president of Delek Logistics, will transition to the role of executive chairman of the Delek US board of directors. Yemin will continue as chairman of the Delek Logistics board.
Yemin has served as chairman of Delek US since 2012, as chief executive officer since 2004, and as president and a director since 2001.
Additionally, effective immediately, Todd O’Malley has been named chief operating officer of Delek US and Delek Logistics. He previously served as executive vice-president and chief commercial officer. Nithia Thaver has been promoted to executive vice-president and president of refining at Delek US. Thaver previously served as senior vice-president, refining.
Leonardo Moreno has been appointed as an independent director to the Delek US board, effective immediately. With this appointment, the board has been expanded to eight directors, seven of whom are independent. Moreno currently serves as president, AES Clean Energy, and heads the US renewables business unit.
