Evans to succeed Park as ReconAfrica CEO

Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd. (ReconAfrica) has appointed Scot Evans as chief executive officer, effective Aug. 24, succeeding Jay Park, who will become chairman of the board.

Reconnaissance Energy Africa Ltd. (ReconAfrica) has appointed Scot Evans as chief executive officer, effective Aug. 24, succeeding Jay Park, who will become chairman of the board.     

Evans most served as the company’s chief operating officer. He has a combined 35 years of experience with Exxon and Halliburton. Prior to joining ReconAfrica in November 2019, Evans was vice-president of Halliburton's integrated asset management and technical consulting organizations.

The Canadian-based junior oil and gas company is focused on executing a drilling program to open the newly discovered deep Kavango sedimentary basin in northeastern Namibia (OGJ Online, May 20, 2020).
