UP Energy LLC, Englewood, Colo., changed its name to PureWest Energy LLC.
PureWest Energy LLC is a private energy company focused on developing its long-life natural gas reserves in the Pinedale and Jonah fields of Wyoming's Green River Basin. PureWest controls more than 126,000 gross (115,000 net) acres in and around Pinedale and Jonah fields.
The company is currently producing over 600 MMcfed (net).
In September 2020, Ultra Petroleum Corp. emerged from bankruptcy and converted to UP Energy LLC (OGJ Online, Sept. 18, 2020).
