Basra Oil lets EPCM contract extension for Majnoon field in Iraq

Under the contract, KBR will continue to provide EPCM services to help BOC sustain forecasted production capacity and enhance operational efficiency, the service provider said.

State-owned Basra Oil Co. (BOC) has renewed an engineering, procurement, and construction management (EPCM) contract with KBR for work on Majnoon oil field in Iraq for an additional 2 years (OGJ Online, May 14, 2018).

Under the contract, KBR will continue to provide comprehensive EPCM services “to help BOC sustain forecasted production capacity, enhance operational efficiency, maximize local content, and drive continued safety improvements,” the service provider said in a release July 17.

Majnoon, which lies in southern Iraq 70 km north of Basra City (OGJ Online, Dec. 27, 2017).
