Equinor has let a contract for a FEED study with an EPCI option to Subsea 7 SA for work offshore Norway.

Equinor has let a contract for a front-end engineering and design (FEED) study with an engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) option to Subsea 7 SA for the Fram Sør development project offshore Norway.

The FEED study will finalize the technical definition of the proposed subsea development prior to Equinor and its partners making a final investment decision. Work will begin immediately in Subsea 7’s offices in Norway and UK.

If the EPCI option is exercised, any resulting subsea structures, umbilicals, risers, and flowlines (SURF) installation would be a direct award to Subsea 7. Offshore installation activities associated with this contract are scheduled for 2026, 2027, and 2028.

Fram Sør contains Blasto, Dermata, Echino Sør, and Fram Vest fields 20 km north of Troll field in 350 m of water.
