Marathon Oil Corp. has let a master service agreement to Petrofac Ltd. for work in Equatorial Guinea.

Marathon Oil Corp. has let a master service agreement (MSA) to Petrofac Ltd. for work in Equatorial Guinea.

Under the agreement, Petrofac will provide technical authority and engineering support for operations, integrity, and safety. It will support key onshore and offshore assets including five offshore steel jacket platforms in Alba field and the Alba gas plant onshore.

Effective Jan. 1, 2024, Marathon Oil entered into a 5-year firm LNG sales agreement for a portion of Glencore Energy UK Ltd.’s equity natural gas produced from Alba field (OGJ Online, Oct. 16, 2023).
