Woodside has agreed to a 10-year deal with JERA to supply LNG to Japan.
Under the agreement, Woodside will supply about 400,000 tonnes/year of LNG (six cargoes) on a delivered basis, beginning in April 2026.
LNG delivered to JERA under the agreement will be sourced from volumes across Woodside’s global portfolio.
The deal follows Woodside’s February announcement of an agreement for the sale to JERA of a 15.1% non-operating participating interest in the Scarborough joint venture (OGJ Online, Feb. 23, 2023).
Woodside expects the Scarborough equity sale to JERA to be completed before end-2024.
