TotalEnergies SE has extended the Northern Ocean Ltd. Deepsea Mira contract for work in West Africa.

The firm term of the contract is extended from October 2024 for one well and provides one additional well option.

TotalEnergies SE started a multi-well drilling program offshore Namibia following the Venus light oil discovery in Block 2913B (PEL 56) and exploration of the Venus accumulation into Block 2912 (PEL 91) (OGJ Online, Dec. 21, 2023).

The extension from October provides firm revenue backlog of about $24.3-34.2 million with the option to extend for an additional well potentially adding a further backlog of about $26.9-36.9 million.
