ExxonMobil Chemical Co. has acquired the remaining 50% interest in the Cie. Industrielle des Polyethylenes de Normandie (CIPEN) plant in Notre Dame de Gravenchon, France.

HOUSTON, Oct. 4 -- ExxonMobil Chemical Co. has acquired the remaining 50% interest in the Cie. Industrielle des Polyethylenes de Normandie (CIPEN) plant in Notre Dame de Gravenchon, France, from Basell Polyolefins Co., a 50:50 joint venture of Shell Chemicals Ltd. and Germany's BASF AG.
The acquisition, effective Oct. 1, gives ExxonMobil Chemical full ownership of the plant, which manufactures linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) resins. Details of the deal were not provided.
