Reach Oil and Gas Co. Inc. encountered hydrocarbons in its Taylor 1-16 well (Taylor) in Seminole County, Okla., said partner Union Jack Oil PLC in a Nov. 26 release.

The well was drilled to a TD of 4,577 ft. Electric logs were acquired. The main objective for this well, the Hunton Limestone interval, was encountered at 4,168 ft and is confirmed to be hydrocarbon-bearing and appears highly porous and permeable. Two other potential secondary intervals, the Cromwell Sand and Misener Sand, were observed and will be evaluated later.

Production casing has been run and cemented. The rig has been released. The technical team at Reach is currently planning the completion program which is expected to start early December 2024.

Reach Oil and Gas is operator of the Taylor well. Union Jack holds a 45% working interest.
