Aker BP has let a contract to Allseas Group to provide offshore transport and installation services for new processing platform topsides equipment for the NOA PdQ platform in the NOAKA area in the North Sea.

Aker BP ASA has let a contract to Allseas Group SA to provide offshore transport and installation services for new processing platform topsides equipment for the NOA PdQ platform in the NOAKA area (NOA, Fulla, Krafla, Askja) about 200 km northwest of Stavanger in the Norwegian North Sea.

The contract is for well bay area and living quarters and follows completion of front-end engineering and design (FEED) work for a single-lift transport and installation solution tailored to Allseas’ Pioneering Spirit heavy lift vessel. Allseas performed FEED work for the topsides in collaboration with Aker BP between September 2021 and December 2022.

NOAKA holds several oil and gas discoveries, with an estimated resource base of 600 MMboe. The NOA PdQ will function as a hub operated by Aker BP, with other fields developed as subsea tiebacks or normally unmanned-unmanned platforms.

Pioneering Spirit expects to execute the work in 2026.

Aker BP is operator at NOAKA.
