India’s Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) is offering 26 blocks over nine sedimentary basins for oil and gas exploration and development through OALP Bid Round–IX.

India’s Directorate General of Hydrocarbons (DGH) is offering 26 blocks over nine sedimentary basins for oil and gas exploration and development through OALP Bid Round–IX.

Eighteen blocks are carved out by the government and eight are a result of expression of interest (EoI) received from potential investors.

The offering includes category-I (11 blocks), category-II (13 blocks), and category-III (2 blocks) spread over an area of about 223,000 sq km. Fifteen blocks are in ultra-deepwater (159,439 sq km), eight blocks are in shallow water (59,925 sq km), and three blocks are on land (3,666 sq km).
