Agência Nacional de Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis extended the deadline for proposals to develop blocks in Lower Congo and Kwanza onshore basins for an additional 30 days.

Agência Nacional de Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis (ANPG) extended the deadline for proposals to develop blocks in Lower Congo and Kwanza onshore basins for an additional 30 days.

The 2020 bid round began on April 30th for blocks CON1, CON5, and CON6 (onshore Lower Congo basin) and blocks KON5, KON6, KON8, KON9, KON17, and KON20 (onshore Kwanza basin).

Initially scheduled to close on June 9, the extension to July 9 is based on requests from interested companies for better understanding of all information regarding the blocks, as well as more time to clarify the bid round process.

ANPG also reduced the entry fee, which grants access to the data package, to aid smaller companies interested in onshore projects in Angola.
