Petrobras lets subsea contract for Marlim, Voador fields

Petróleo Brasileiro SA (Petrobras) has let a subsea contract to TechnipFMC for work at Marlim and Voador oil and gas fields, part of the operator’s Marlim cluster revitalization project, offshore Brazil.

TechnipFMC will supply up to eight manifolds for production and injection, utilizing the all-electric robotic valve controller (RVC). The contract, valued by TechnipFMC at $75-250 million—also includes associated tools, spares, and services.

RVC technology replaces traditional subsea hydraulics, as well as thousands of mechanical parts, while providing real-time data and analysis on system performance, the service provider said in a release Apr. 20.
