Lundin granted Barents Sea drilling permit

Lundin Energy Norway AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for production license 533 B in the Barents Sea.

Lundin Energy Norway AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for production license 533 B in the Barents Sea.

Well 7219/11-1, the first to be drilled in the license, will be drilled from the West Bollsta drilling facility about 35 km northwest of 7220/11-1, the Alta discovery (OGJ Online, June 12, 2015). The area in the license consists of part of Block 7219/11.

Lundin is operator with 40%. Partners are Aker BP ASA 35% and Wintershall Dea Norge AS 25%.
