HOUSTON, July 13 – PetroWorth Resources Inc., Calgary, is shooting 80 line-km of 2D seismic on the Lake Ainslie block on southern Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia.
Numerous oil seeps have been observed on the 383,000-acre property, and most of the shallow wells drilled in the late 1800s-early 1900s encountered oil and-or gas. Oil from one well was sold in the US.
The seismic survey, aimed at identifying a petroleum system, is to be complete in early August.
