By OGJ editors HOUSTON, Aug. 4 – Petroceltic International PLC said the AT-1 well on the Isarene block in Algeria’s Illizi basin went to TD 2,118 m and is being suspended for tests.
Wireline logs and drilling data confirmed gas-bearing intervals in line with expectations in the targeted Ordovician sands along the Ain Tsila ridge, the company said.
The next well, AT-2, is expected to spud in mid-August. Petroceltic will test INE-2, the first well in the multiwell program, after testing the AT-1 well.
