Equinor Energy AS has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for an exploration well in in the Barents Sea Skavl Stø prospect.
Well 7220/8-3, in production license 532, will be drilled in April with the Transocean Enabler in 352 m of water.
Equinor is operator with 50% interest. Partners are Vår Energi ASA 30%, and Petoro AS 20%.
