Eni lets short-term contract extension for FPSO offshore Nigeria
May 1, 2023
ENI SpA subsidiary Nigerian Agip Exploration Ltd. (NAE) has signed a short-term extension with BW Offshore for use of the Abo floating production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) vessel for work offshore Nigeria.
The FPSO has oil processing capacity of 44,000 b/d, gas handling capacity of 48.4 MMscfd, water injection capacity of 33,000 b/d, and storage capacity of 940,000 bbl. The vessel has been under contract with NAE since Abo oil field began production in 2003 and will now run until May 31, 2023.
Peak oil production of 37,30b/d was achieved from the field in February 2010, but 4D seismic identified additional upside and NAE began execution of Abo Phase 3 development in 2013, contributing to additional oil production and field life extension.
