Crew Energy Inc., Calgary, plans to complete and tie in five Groundbirch wells in the Montney play in northeast British Columbia by yearend.

These wells follow five wells that were drilled in first-quarter 2022 which will evaluate two additional zones on the Groundbirch 4-17 pad. Three Groundbirch wells drilled in 2021 are exceeding type curve forecasts with an average per well raw gas production rate after 150 days of 8,976 mcfd.

Net capital expenditures for first-quarter 2022 of $56 million are expected, while full year net capital expenditure guidance remains $80-95 million.

Crew holds a contiguous land base of Montney assets covering over 264,000 net acres (over 225,000 net undeveloped acres) which include Septimus-West Septimus, Tower, Groundbirch, Attachie, Oak-Flatrock, and Portage assets containing condensate, light oil, liquids-rich natural gas, and dry gas.
