Equinor Energy AS has exercised six one-well options for use of the Transocean Encourage semisubmersible drilling rig offshore Norway, Transocean Ltd. said in a release July 5.

The estimated 370 days of work is expected to begin in direct continuation of the current firm term, extending the contract through February 2026.
In March, the operator let contracts for use of two Transocean rigs, one for Transocean Encourage related to a Norwegian Sea drilling program (OGJ Online, Mar. 28, 2023).
