Equinor extends Norwegian Continental Shelf drilling contracts

Equinor is exercising options worth NOK 8 billion with Archer, KCA Deutag, and Odfjell Drilling for drilling, completion, intervention services, plugging, maintenance, and modifications on 19 of its installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

Equinor Energy AS is exercising options worth NOK 8 billion with Archer, KCA Deutag, and Odfjell Drilling for drilling, completion, intervention services, plugging, maintenance, and modifications on 19 of Equinor’s permanent installations on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.

The 4-year agreements were originally signed in 2018. The options, exercised for 2 years from end 2022, cover the same scope of work as previously regulated by contract.

The contracts cover Grane, Gullfaks A, B, & C, Heidrun, Johan Sverdrup, Kvitebjørn, Njord, Oseberg B, C, South & East, Sleipner A, Snorre A & B, Statfjord A, B & C, and Visun fields.
