Equinor Energy AS has been granted consent from the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill an exploration well in North Sea production license 057.
Well 34/4-17 S will be drilled by Odfjell Drilling's Deepsea Stavanger semisubmersible rig with work beginning in February.
Equinor is operator with 31% interest. Partners are Petoro AS (30%), Wintershall Dea Norge AS (24.5%), Idemitsu Petroleum Norge AS (9.6%), and Vår Energi AS (4.9%).
