Equinor Energy AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill the Ginny prospect in the Norwegian Sea.
Well 6407/9-13—the first in production license 1060—will be drilled from the West Hercules drilling facility about 11 km northwest of Draugen field in production license 1060.
Equinor is operator with 31%. Partners are OKEA ASA (40%), Chryasor Norge AS (20%), and Longboat Energy Norge AS (9%).
The area in the license consists of parts of Blocks 6407/8 and 6407/9.
