Aker BP ASA has been granted a permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate to drill a well in North Sea production license 1041.
Well 24/12-7—the first exploration well in the license—will be drilled from the Deepsea Stavanger drilling rig about 15 km south of Bøyla field. The acreage in the license consists of part of Block 24/12.
Aker BP is operator with 55% interest. Partners are Neptune Energy Norge AS (30%) and Lundin Energy Norway AS (15%).
