Equinor ASA has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate (NPD) for a Norwegian Sea exploration well.
Well 6507/3-14—the fifth exploration well in production license 159 B—will be drilled from the West Hercules drilling rig about 15 km west of Norne field. The area in the license consists of parts of Block 6507/3.
Equinor is operator with 53% interest. Partners are DNO Norge AS (32%) and INEOS E&P Norge AS (15%).
