HOUSTON, Feb. 3 -- Lafayette-based Stone Energy Corp. reports production under way from two discoveries in the Gulf of Mexico, both drilled from existing facilities.
Production began in January on Stone's 100%-owned OCS-G 19869 A-5 well on the Harding prospect on Main Pass Block 287, and deep sand gas production is under way on the OCS-G 1252 No. E-4 discovery well on South Timbalier Block 166, on the Maximus prospect. The well was drilled to 17,935 ft MD, and initial gross production flowed at 19 MMcf of gas and 432 b/d of condensate. The operator logged about 203 net ft MD of gas in three sands beneath 16,750 ft. Stone has a 40% working interest in this block.
