EIA: US oil output in November edged down to 9.32 million b/d

US crude oil production during November 2015 totaled 9.32 million b/d, a decline of less than a percent from the October total but still up 1.3% compared with the November 2014 total, according to data from the US Energy Information Administration mostly based on findings from its EIA-914 survey.

The Federal Offshore Gulf of Mexico dropped 3.5% during the month to 1.55 million b/d, which was still 11.6% higher year-over-year.

The gulf decline was partially offset by a 5.2% rise in Alaska to 523,000 b/d; and increases of less than a percent in Texas to 3.4 million b/d and North Dakota to 1.17 million b/d. Both Texas and North Dakota, however, were down slightly year-over-year.

Natural gas production in the US edged up less than a percent to 91.47 bcfd in November compared with its October total. Alaska posted a 7.2% increase to 9.66 bcfd; and Pennsylvania posted a 3.3% increase to 13.47 bcfd, up 12.6% compared with its November 2014 total.

Output from West Virginia fell 8.3% to 3.23 bcfd, up 1.3% year-over-year; and the gulf dropped 6% to 3.53 bcfd, up 4.1% year-over-year.
