Chevron Thailand extends rig contracts

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production, Ltd. has let a contract extension to Shelf Drilling Ltd. for the Chaophraya and Krathong 350 ft jack-up rigs for operations in the Gulf of Thailand.

Chevron Thailand Exploration and Production Ltd. has let a contract extension to Shelf Drilling Ltd. for the Chaophraya and Krathong 350 ft jack up rigs for operations in the Gulf of Thailand.

The extensions are a direct continuation of projects at the end of each rig’s current contract. The duration is 39 months for Chaophraya and 36 months for Krathong, expected to commence in third-quarter 2022 and fourth-quarter 2022, respectively.
