Serica Energy PLC has let a contract for drilling the North Eigg gas prospect exploration well close to Serica’s Bruce, Keith, and Rhum (BKR) fields in the UK Northern North Sea.
The well is expected to spud summer 2022. A successful discovery could be tied back to existing infrastructure. Plans are also in place for a well intervention campaign in 2022 to improve production potential of several Bruce and Keith wells in subsequent years.
Serica is operator of Bruce, Keith, and Rhum, holding interests of 98%, 100%, and 50%, respectively.
