Neptune Energy granted Norwegian Sea drilling permit

Neptune Energy Norge AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for well 6507/8-10 S in the Norwegian Sea.

Neptune Energy Norge AS has been granted a drilling permit by the Norwegian Petroleum Directorate for well 6507/8-10 S in the Norwegian Sea.

The well will be drilled about 7 km east of Heidrun field and 216 km west of Brønnøysund in production license 889 from the West Phoenix drilling facility after concluding the drilling of wildcat well 15/3-12 S for Equinor Energy AS in production license 025.

Neptune Energy is operator with 60% interest. Partners are Equinor Energy AS 20% and Wellesley Petroleum AS 20%.

The area in the license consists of a part of Block 6507/8. This is the first well to be drilled in the license.
