HOUSTON, Apr. 4�Conoco Canada Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of Houston-based Conoco Inc., has acquired the natural gas and gas liquids storage and distribution assets of Procor LPG Storage Inc., Regina, Sask., for an unnamed consideration.
The assets, 3 km west of Regina, include four underground NGL storage caverns with 2.3 million bbl capacity; three underground gas storage caverns with 1.2 bcf capacity; two lined brine ponds capable of supporting up to five NGL caverns; and rail and truck distribution facilities.
Dan Robertson, Manager of Conoco Canada Midstream, said, "Primarily, this acquisition complements our existing NGL assets in western Canada, particularly Conoco Canada's adjacent and connected NGL pipeline."
Conoco owns the 48,000 b/d Empress straddle plant near Burstall, Sask.; a 900-km NGL pipeline from the plant to markets in Regina and Winnipeg; and related storage and distribution facilities along the pipeline route.
