Murphy Oil Corp. has promoted Eric M. Hambly to the role of president and chief operating officer and E. Ted Botner to executive vice-president.
Hambly has been with Murphy Oil for more than 18 years, serving in roles of increasing responsibility primarily focusing on offshore operations in the Gulf of Mexico and Malaysia, as well as onshore operations in the US and Canada. He was promoted executive vice-president of operations in 2020.
Botner joined Murphy Oil in 2001 as an attorney. He has served in positions of increasing responsibility in the US and Malaysia. He was named senior vice-president, general counsel, and corporate secretary in 2020. He will maintain his role of general counsel and corporate secretary.
