Gulf Keystone has named Gabriel Papineau-Legris to succeed Ian Weatherdon as the company’s new chief financial officer.

Gulf Keystone, an independent operator and producer in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq, has named Gabriel Papineau-Legris to succeed Ian Weatherdon as the company’s new chief financial officer.

Following a 35-year career, Weatherdon has decided to retire as chief financial officer and a director. He has served a chief financial officer since January 2020. Papineau-Legris, the company’s current chief commercial officer, will become chief financial officer and executive director following the company’s upcoming annual general meeting in June 2024. He joined the company in 2016.

Kimberley Wood, currently the senior independent director, will resign from the board. She recently accepted an executive appointment and is therefore required to reduce her board commitments in order to meet the corporate governance guidance, the company said.
