Oil and Gas Development Co. Ltd. (OGDCL) made a significant gas-condensate discovery from the Kharo-1 exploration well in the Khewari exploration license area, District Khairpur, Sindh Province, Pakistan.
The well was drilled to 3,762 m. Testing registered 14.3 MMscfd gas and 93 b/d condensate. The results were attained at a 32/64-in. choke size at 2,737 psi wellhead flowing pressure. Flow came from the sand strata of Lower Goru formation.
OGDCL operates the Khewari Block (95%) with joint venture partner Government Holdings Private Ltd. (GHPL) holding the remaining 5% working interest.
