Carlyss, La., has named Eddie J. Evans as vice-president, health and safety; James F. Gallagher as area vice-president, West Africa; and Richard D. Porter as area vice-president, Middle East/India.

Carlyss, La., has named Eddie J. Evans as vice-president, health and safety; James F. Gallagher as area vice-president, West Africa; and Richard D. Porter as area vice-president, Middle East/India.

Evans has over 24 years of experience in marine engineering and construction, most recently with J. Ray McDermott. His newly-created position will be based in Carlyss.

Gallagher has over 25 years of experience in the offshore and heavy civil construction industries, and has held positions with Santa Fe Engineering & Construction, McDermott International, and Offshore Pipelines Inc. He will be based in Houston.

Porter, who has over 25 years of marine engineering and offshore construction experience, will relocate to the Middle East from Houston.

Global Industries provides pipeline construction, platform installation and removal, diving services, and other marine support to the oil and gas industry in the Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Asia Pacific, Middle East/India, South America, and Mexico's Bay of Campeche.

Oceaneering International Services Ltd.

Aberdeen, has promoted Lawrence Watt to have responsibility for all of its SMART technology and products within the Eastern Hemisphere.

Watt's background is in subsea engineering. He will provide marketing and engineering support for a product that provides a simple, proven method of weldless pipeline connection.

Oceaneering International Services Ltd., founded in 1964, is a global provider of engineered services and hardware to customers operating in marine, space, and other harsh environments.

John Wood Group PLC

Aberdeen, has acquired Production Services Group (PSG). The PSG companies-Coastal Production Services, Production Systems Inc., ProSafe Inc., and RMC Technology Corp.-will trade as Wood Group Production Services.

PSG provides a broad range of operational, technical, and maintenance support services to platforms in the Gulf of Mexico and inland waters. It has facilities in Rockport, Houston, and Freeport, Tex.; and Houma, Cameron, and Venice, La.

The PSG acquisition is the latest in a program of international expansion by Wood Group. Other companies added this year are Procesos Y Disenos Energeticos SA, a Colombian company; Lovegreen Turbine Services Inc. in the U.S.; Bexton Australian Pty and Bexton Holdings Pty Ltd. in Australia; and South Carolina-based H&L Accessory Inc.
