PennWell, the leading information provider to the petroleum industry, announces the appointment of D. King Anderson as president of its PennPoint division. PennPoint is the new provider of well and production data for the energy industry.
Anderson, a petroleum industry veteran with over 25 years of experience, has led and managed start-up companies and turn-around situations, as well as established businesses. Anderson had a long career at Baker Oil Tools where he served in a number of engineering, marketing, research and executive positions, including vice president of North America operations, vice president of Eastern Hemisphere operations and vice president of research and development.
Prior to joining PennPoint, Anderson served as chief executive officer of Isotag, LLC, a molecular marker manufacturing company he co-founded.
In addition to his duties as president of PennPoint, Anderson will assume responsibility for MAPSearch, a Penn-Well company that will be consolidated into PennPoint. MAPSearch manufactures quality atlases, wall maps, custom maps and digital data for the energy industry, including pipelines, facilities and interconnect points. Anderson will be charged with growing PennPoint's database and mapping information services and establishing PennPoint as the leader in high quality information products.
PennWell is the publisher of the Oil & Gas Journal, the leading weekly publication for international news and technology for the petroleum industry. PennWell also recently formed an e-commerce energy site titled Oil & Gas Journal Exchange. Oil & Gas Journal Exchange is an Internet auction platform for the sale of oil and gas producing properties and will work closely with PennPoint to provide the historical well and production data used by buyers and sellers of oil properties.
PennWell acquired the license to the Dwights well and production data as a result of a consent order issued by the Federal Trade Commission following the merger between Petroleum Information Corp. and Dwights EnergyData Inc. PennPoint was formed to market and distribute the well and production data.

Bartol, who will also be serving on the company's board of directors, is responsible for NetworkOil's strategic business plan. Bartol, an experienced entrepreneur and seasoned energy executive, has built a team of business development managers and a proactive customer service organization, both dedicated to enhancing the marketplace experience.
Before joining NetworkOil, Bartol founded Saint Arnold Brewing Co.
Prior to founding Saint Arnold, Bartol worked as an investment banker for eight years at Simmons and Co. International as vice president, advising oil service and equipment companies on financial issues. Bartol directed the firm's efforts for clients in the refining and petrochemical industry, and helped the company triple in size.
Bartol has also worked as an associate with McKinsey and Co. providing management consulting services to the energy industry, and with Exxon in their Synthetic Fuels Department as a project engineer.
David Tze has been named chief technology officer.
Tze is responsible for NetworkOil's e-commerce platform development and strategic technology partnerships. He secured NetworkOil's alliances with netmarket software leaders TRADEX Technologies and TradingDynamics and leading Internet development services firm, Luminant Worldwide.
Prior to joining NetworkOil, Tze developed web strategy and Internet applications for a wide range of clients, including AIG, Reuters, Domestic Bank and the Home Shopping Network. Additionally, Tze served as a strategist for Concrete Media, a leading New York City web development firm where he was responsible for developing Internet-based business and operations solutions for clients such as Lids, a leading online headwear retailer, and the Princeton Review, designing and developing a college application area on their site.
Before joining Concrete, Tze served in a variety of roles at The Buoyant Co., another New York-based web development firm, eventually rising to the position of general manager.

Chris O'Sullivan, chairman of the board, established O'Sullivan Oil & Gas co. in 1987 and has more than 17 years experience in the energy industry. Keirnan has resigned from his post of vice president, chief financial officer and will depart from the company at the end of March. Thomas L. Heading the Ødegaard UK office will be ex-Shell geophysicist Dave Davies. Following nearly 20 years with Shell International, Davies spent the last two years on a number of key geoscience-related projects for major and independent oil companies.

Paragon Engineering Services, Inc., Houston, Tex., has named W.A. (Bill) Wenger project manager, leading an offshore heavy oil development project in Asian waters. The project calls for multiple platforms and a shore-based facility for receiving, treating and transshipping product. Wenger also is vigorously pursuing additional upstream projects for Paragon.
Wenger has more than 25 years' experience in project management and business development for engineering and construction projects worldwide.
Wenger comes to Paragon from China Petroleum Engineering Construction Corp. based in Beijing, where he served as project manager of an engineering, procurement and construction team responsible for building an oil and gas production plant for Kuwait Oil Co. in West Kuwait.
Thomas J. Gregg has been named an instrumentation/control systems engineer. Gregg is presently responsible for developing a process control and safety shutdown system for the Anadarko Hickory platform destined for Grand Isle Block 116 in the Gulf of Mexico. Gregg's activities include the supervision of design drafting personnel on the project.
Gregg comes to Paragon from Worley International, Inc. where he served as lead instrumentation/control systems engineer for a shallow-water oil production facility in Bohai Bay offshore China. Gregg supervised engineering and design personnel focused on resolving technical issues and maintaining project schedules.
