Bidding is expected to close on Feb. 15, 2017, and bidding results will be announced on Mar. 15.
Following a pledge by members of the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries to curb output by 1.2 million b/d on Nov. 30, Oman was among the dozen non-OPEC producers that agreed to cut oil output by an additional 558,000 b/d (OGJ Online, Dec. 13, 2016). The cuts are slated to begin Jan. 1, 2017.
