Eldar Saetre has been named president and chief executive officer of Statoil, succeeding Helge Lund, who resigned in October (OGJ Online, Oct. 15, 2014).
Saetre, a member of the corporate executive committee since 2003, has been acting president and chief executive officer. His earlier positions with Statoil include chief financial officer and executive vice-president for marketing, processing, and renewable energy.
