ExxonMobil advances Uaru field work with FPSO integration contract

ExxonMobil contractor Offshore Frontier Solutions, a Modec Group company, signed Seatrium for an FPSO topsides integration contract for work offshore Guyana.

ExxonMobil contractor Offshore Frontier Solutions Pte. Ltd., a Modec Group company, has signed Seatrium Ltd. for a floating, production, storage, and offloading (FPSO) topsides integration contract for Uaru field, offshore Guyana.

The contract scope of work covers installation and integration of topside modules onboard the FPSO Errea Wittu and includes completion and commissioning support for MODEC.

Modec was authorized to proceed with the engineering, procurement, construction, and installation (EPCI) scope for the FPSO in May 2023 following ExxonMobil Guyana Ltd.’s final investment decision to develop the $12.7-billion development Uaru project (OGJ Online, April 3, 2024).

The FPSO will be deployed in Stabroek block, about 200 km offshore Guyana, and is expected to have a production capacity of 250,000 bo/d, water injection capacity of 350,000 b/d, 540 MMscfd of gas production, and a storage capacity of 2 million bbl of oil.
